The mission of the Tu Lab for Diagnostic Research is to advance the quality, efficiency, and value of diagnostic imaging and related medical care. We conduct research into improving patient selection, scanning protocols, and interpretative practices for emergency, trauma, and neurologic imaging.

Our team also develops tools for clinical decision support, efficient reporting, and radiologist workflow optimization. Finally, we advance medical education through the production of publicly available teaching videos, educational writing, and learning modules.

The purpose of organizing our efforts into a lab is to provide mechanisms for more robust support, mentorship, and collaboration. We are committed to providing the best possible training, opportunities, and career development to each of our members.
